I have 2 questions. Is the hardwood floor in the loft the oringinal floor refinished,or a new floor laid on top of the old? Next question is,how did they get the new look on the rafters and the sheeting boards?
Hi there and thanks for your questions, Eddie. The hardwood floor is in fact the original floor refinished. Amazing how it has withstood the test of time, huh? Just stunning! The new look of the rafters is was created from a good “blow down” using compressed air and a bit of brushing on hard to clean spots. The black behind the horizontal roofing supports is new plywood painted black, with the layering being plywood, insulation, plywood, membrane, new aluminum roof. Does that help answer your questions?
