2018 is all about creating extraordinary wedding experiences that are personal, intimate, meticulously designed, and absolutely unforgettable! Couples are going all out to create designs that are immersive, elaborately styled, richly layered, and totally “Instagram-worthy.”
But this year’s decor isn’t just a feast for the eyes. Each element is deeply personal, chosen with care to tell the story of your life together and to celebrate friends and family who come together on your big day.
Let’s dive into the biggest wedding decor trends we’re seeing this year!

Planning a wedding is no longer about merely picking a color palette or landing on a theme. Every choice has significance, and the event is planned around a specific “vibe” or mood.
Are you and your fiancé really into sustainable farming? Are you painters, surfers, dog trainers, rock climbers, or pizza connoisseurs?
Whatever makes you unique, be sure to incorporate personal touches that put your individuality, quirks, and interests on center stage. Our brides and grooms delight in finding special ways to place pieces of themselves into their big day – down to the favors, table settings, place cards, and food.

Organic, luxurious, and natural materials are on trend for 2018, and we are seeing a huge demand for upscale decor and furnishings made from finely handcrafted wood, metal, and stone. Alongside cascading greenery, this mix of natural textures puts a refined twist on the traditional barn wedding. Think: “Rustic 2.0,” with features that are more elegant, put together, and classically styled. The look is classy yet comfortable, and retains a woodsy, down-home charm.

In many areas of design, this year is about big, vibrant, saturated color. But while many couples relish bright pops and bold choices, classic hues remain go-to colors for this year’s weddings.
Blush pinks, dusty blues, and slate grays are very in, as are metallic accents like gold, rose gold, and copper.
Fortunately, both edgy and classic motifs work perfectly set against a backdrop of classic neutrals, creams, and transparent elements.

Wedding decor in 2018 is lush, layered, and a feast for the eyes with to-die-for textures and details.
Layers meet in a blend of adventurous materials, textured linens, dimensional centerpieces, greenery, lighting, and elaborately styled decor. Nothing is plain or flat. There is dimension and interest in every detail.
Translucent and transparent elements are hugely popular, adding glitz and luxury without overwhelming finer details. Look for opportunities to include cut-outs, glass pieces, mirrored surfaces, acrylic signage, transparent drapery, and paper crafts!

Large and striking installations and centerpieces continue to be popular, so couples are amping up the WOW factor with dramatic backdrops, dangling lights, geometric centerpieces, intricate latticework, and hanging greenery.
Jaw-dropping floral arrangements are a must – whether freestanding, hovering overhead, or twining up into the rafters. Overhead decor is very popular, elevating the space and the design into something truly spectacular.
In addition to elaborate hanging greenery, look for creative lighting fixtures, streamers, curtains, signs, and art installations made from unusual materials.

Weddings in 2018 are about bringing people together, and that extends to the seating arrangements, too! Instead of clusters of smaller tables, couples and their guests are opting for tighter table arrangements. Think one or two long tables rather than spread out seating all across the room.
And when decorating your tables, go all out! Full and elegant table settings are very popular, complete with upgraded, textured linens and multiple layers of chargers, plates, unique linens, table runners, menu cards, and more.
For centerpieces, unique presentations of organic greenery are hugely popular. However, we’re seeing more and more non-floral centerpieces that put a unique twist on the traditional.
