We are overjoyed to extend a warm welcome to the newest addition to the family: The Holt House. The third of its kind to be managed by Sterling Event Group alongside WinMock at Kinderton and Triple J Manor House.
In 1834, The Holt House was built as a wedding gift by Dr. William Rainey Holt to his bride, Louisa. What started as a thoughtful, wedding gift has now become the gift that will continue to give over the years.
Famous for its beautiful Greek architecture, The Holt House survived the Civil War as a headquarters for reconstruction in the South. Its place on the National Register of Historic Places confirms its value and legacy to the people and story of Lexington and the surrounding area.
In 2020, the venue was brought back to life as a wedding and event venue by Jera Hawn and Nia Ward. They renovated the space and have future plans to add an Event Pavilion seating up to 150 guests.
Sterling Events Group will focus on operational duties at the venue, providing The Holt House and their clients new services including food and beverage and bar services, event staffing and operational and accounting systems, and a wide range of rental décor and soft furnishings through Sterling’s new division, Sterling Spaces.
Owners, Nia and Jera, commented, “Being well aware of Sterling Events Group’s reputation for hospitality and success, we were delighted at the opportunity to partner with them. We know that our clients will be in the best hands and continue to receive radical hospitality at every event hosted at the Holt House.”
“We are so excited to begin this partnership,” added Wayne Thomas, President of Sterling Events Group. “The Holt House is a beautiful venue for a wedding or any type of event, and we look forward to serving The Holt House team and their clients.”
