Since our official ribbon cutting on May 26th, more than 3,000 guests have come through the doors at WinMock. We have had three weddings, a rehearsal dinners, a non-profit gala, a community open house, a chamber breakfast and tonight, a barn full of Little League supporters.

Hello friends, as you can imagine, a lot has happened since we last chatted two weeks ago. As we count down our final weeks until completion it’s a fury of energy and progress at the barn with our ever growing crew focused on a perfect completion. It truly is an amazing sight to see. This week alone brings us major milestones including stained concrete for our sidewalks, terraces, and parking areas; bathroom tile, flooring and fixture installation; The Loft’s beautiful original hardwoods will be refinished; our elevators are being installed; our meeting rooms will receive fresh coats of paint in prep for final touches… the list goes on and on.
But hey, enough about this week’s to do’s, let us bring you up to speed on what’s been checked off!

Did you know WinMock was developed by event planners for event planners? It’s often an overlooked fact that we here feel is extra important to note, especially if you are part of that corporate/non-profit event planning crowd (like some of us are).
Our corporate event planning team at Sterling Events Group (parent company of WinMock at Kinderton) have spent years carefully thinking through the ins and outs of event facility needs. We created a checklist of “must haves” and “really wants” and worked with our architect and contractor to develop a design that would accommodate as many items as we could. Here is our top five list.

What a difference 90 days makes…Take WinMock Barn’s first floor for example. The site of our soon-to-be private dining rooms, multiple meeting/breakout rooms, boardroom, private dressing suite, and catering kitchen is really taking shape. See the progress for yourself!

Upstairs, in the Loft Ballroom, now sits a small mezzanine directly above our (soon-to-be) grand door entrance. Photographers, DJs, Bands. Visualize it. The perfect perch to play and shoot above the crowd and dance floor down below.

Well friends…. IT IS OFFICIAL! We are so pleased to share that the barn has been added to the National Register of Historic Places. It has been quite the undertaking and we are so proud to have WinMock receive the recognition it so duly deserves.
