Hosting a Baby Shower in The Granary
Have you ever been to a baby shower or a bridal shower? Or maybe someone has thrown you a shower before. Think back to how you felt during those celebrations. They’re sweet. They are usually intimate and so special with Mom-To-Be or Bride-To-Be’s closest loved ones. Showering your friends and family during the special seasons of life is such a delightful opportunity to show your support and love of their future endeavors. And of course, planning and hosting a party is always fun! Who doesn’t love yummy food, drinks, games, and some good company?
Our very own Laura, Director of Weddings and Social Events, was given the sweetest baby shower in The Granary at WinMock, and we are IN LOVE with the overall intimate atmosphere that was created. We get major cozy winter vibes from all the beautifully foraged botanicals and warm candlelight that made the shower feel so inviting.
Floral and Decor
The Granary is the perfect space for baby showers and bridal showers alike. The rustic elegance of the space provides natural beauty that can be enhanced with beautiful florals, unique lounge pieces and tasty treats. Our friends at Green Bee Floral Designs foraged lots of wintery evergreens and created floral arrangements to bring texture into the room.
This gorgeous vine of green leaves paired with the white walls of The Granary created the most perfect backdrop for photos. *Yes, things can be hung on the walls, but by command hooks and strips only, please!
Lounges + Cozy Furniture
Now, let’s talk about these lounge pieces! The velvet lounge really warmed up the space and brought that cozy aspect into the shower, and not to mention it is a comfy place for guests to sit, chat and sip their favorite beverage. The Prettiest Pieces, one of our go-to one-stop-shop rental companies, brought in some gorgeous pieces. The lounge was placed at the front of the Granary to be the first thing guests would see. It adds that “wow” factor when guests arrive. Don’t you think?
More of The Prettiest Pieces’ furniture was setup to create a snug and comfy corner for Laura to open her gifts. Hello cute pictures! Green Bee Floral Designs then added lots of beautiful greenery, wooden stumps and candles that made for a charming little spot.
Delicious Food
And of course, we can’t forget about the scrumptious food and sweet treats that are a MUST at showers. Providence Catering, our in-house Inclusive Package caterer, took Laura’s brunchtime baby shower to the next level with their mini chicken + waffles, honey ham biscuits, yogurt parfaits, raspberry brie bites, and deep-fried creamy herb risotto balls. Is your mouth watering yet!? Ours is, and we haven’t even mentioned the dessert yet.
Yummy Treats
This gorgeous array of sweets was on display in front of a large window that flooded the area with natural light. Haley H Bakes did an incredible job with these scrumptious desserts, to include a funfetti cake, salted caramel cupcakes and lemon blueberry cupcakes!
The rustic elegance of this space works so beautifully for all types of small celebrations. It’s an intimate venue, yet spacious enough to accommodate table seating, lounges and photo walls! It’s the ultimate cozy setting for those sweet celebrations of new life and new beginnings. Who is ready for a shower in The Granary!?
What an absolutely beautiful baby shower held at The Granary! I love how you incorporated lush florals and greenery to complement the venue’s romantic, vintage atmosphere. The table settings looked so elegant with the china, gold cutlery and pink blooms. And I adore the idea of signature cocktails named after the parents-to-be! What a personal touch. All the details you included, from the confetti cake to the games to the “Brewing Baby” sign are so creative and thoughtful. It looks like a shower the mom-to-be will cherish forever. I also appreciate you sharing helpful planning tips like choosing a convenient venue and having co-hosts. This was so inspirational!
